About Us Nataliya Sokolova is a licensed esthetician in both Ukraine and Texas. She was born in Central Asia and moved to Kiev, Ukraine as a young adult. She studied for her license under a respected esthetician whose family had been in the field for 4 generations. Her teacher shared her family’s skin care recipes with Nataliya, and her popularity as an esthetician in Kiev grew quickly. Nataliya moved to the United States in 2002, ceasing to sell her skin care line, but continuing to use the products herself. People would ask her what products she used on her own skin. One of her friends, Mary Trentham, eventually convinced Nataliya to make a batch of product for her to try. Nataliya’s friend loved the product and told her that people in the US needed products like this. Mary owns a business herself and she kept after Nataliya to form a company. It took a bit more convincing, but essentially Secrets of Sokolova Skin Care came to be as a result of her friend’s encouragement. With friendship as the initial catalyst, the main purpose of Secrets of Sokolova is to provide high quality, beneficial skin care products at a reasonable price. Nataliya’s motivation is to make available better, healthier and natural products. All of the products we sell are handmade by Nataliya and her family.
